Do White Golf Shoes Get Dirty?

There are some major advantages to white golf shoes!

They are clean looking when brand new, they go with just about any color shorts or pants that you own, and they provide an athletic look for the golfer.

Some people worry about purchasing white golf shoes because they fear they will get dirty.

Do White Golf Shoes Get Dirty?

Yes, but all golf shoes will get dirty over time without the proper maintenance and care.  We should recommend cleaning or wiping down your golf shoes after every round for maximum life from your golf shoes.

White Golf Shoes Vs Dark Golf Shoes

It ultimately should come down to your style preference.  Do you prefer a white shoe or a darker shoe?  The consideration for clean or dirty isn’t impacted by the color of the shoe.  Instead find the best match for your budget between comfort and style and go with it.

Between Rounds: Caring For your Golf Shoes!

There are some actions you should take between rounds.  We recommend the following:

  2. Use soap and water
  3. Store in a dry location
  4. Check your spikes after every round
  5. Have a back up pair for muddy rounds

If you play golf in a location that has a drastic change from summer, fall, winter and into spring, you will want to get a waterproof pair of shoes and keep your older pair of golf shoes around for those really muddy rounds that you might play early or late into the golf season.

Over time any golf shoe will get dirty. With the proper maintenance between rounds, your golf shoes can stay looking fresh!

How Often Should You Buy New Golf Shoes?

I would recommend a new pair every 1-2 years.  The last thing you want is a pair of shoes that don’t keep your feet dry.  We have found that with so many rounds, the ability to keep the water out starts to decrease.

Having comfortable, dry feet during a round of golf is essential to not only your performance, but your overall enjoyment.  There aren’t many things worse than playing golf with wet feet for 3-4 hours and having a miserable round of golf.

I would recommend spending some decent money on a quality pair of shoes to ensure you have the maximum comfort and that your feet stay dry.

Overall, golf is a sport where your feet are essential and your connection to the ground.  Having a quality pair of golf shoes should not be overlooked.  The bonus is that often as golf shoes go up in price you not only get an increase in comfort and water proof levels, but the shoes are more stylish.

Beginners and Golf Shoes

Even if you are a a beginner golfer, I would recommend buying the golf shoes if you can afford them.  NUmber one it helps with your overall performance.  Secondly, it helps you look the part as you head to the course and third, it protects another pair of shoes from getting dirty as your everyday shoes might not clean up as well as golf shoes.

Most golf shoes, because of the material they are made of, are easy to wipe down and maintain a quality looking pair of golf shoes that you can be proud to wear!
